Earthing Patti

Earthing patti, also known as earthing strip or grounding strip, is a critical component used in electrical grounding systems to establish a reliable and effective connection between electrical equipment and the earth. Typically made from conductive materials such as copper or galvanized steel, earthing patti is designed in a flat, elongated form to provide a large surface area that enhances the efficiency of grounding. The strip is installed horizontally or vertically in the ground or embedded within concrete structures to connect earthing electrodes or rods to the grounding network. Its primary function is to facilitate the safe dispersion of electrical fault currents into the earth, thereby protecting electrical systems and personnel from potential electrical hazards. Copper earthing patti is preferred for its superior conductivity and resistance to corrosion, while galvanized steel offers a more cost-effective alternative with good durability.
